DAY 01

Cusco - Cusipata - Pitumarca - 7 Colors Mountain

  • The tour starts very early, between 3:00 and 3:30 am, we pick you up with our mobility at the door of your hotel, then we will make a trip of almost 3 hours to the community of Cusipata.
  • To continue our tour, we will taste a typical breakfast of the region, vegetarian or vegan options can be provided, which must be requested in advance.
  • We will continue the trip by bus for 1 hour more until, we arrive to the comunity of Pitumarca, here is our camp and the ATVs for the adventure, the guide will give us an explanation about the use of the ATVs and the security measures to take, then we will practice a little before leaving.
  • We will start the adventure in the direction of the Montaña de Colores by a beautiful road used for grazing and after 1 hour and 30 minutes of travel, we will arrive at the parking, to complete the road walking for 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the Mountain of 7 Colors “Vinincunca” located near 5020 m. approx. After enjoying the scenery, take pictures and recharge with the energy of the place, we will return by the same route, at the point where we started our hike, here we will wait for the ATVs to return to camp driving them for 1 hour and 30 minutes more.
  • Finally, we will board the bus to return to the restaurant and have lunch and then return to the city of Cusco, we will arrive around 5:00 pm and leave it in the Plaza Regocijo, one square block from the Plaza de Mayor in the historic center of Cusco.

    Lunch also a small buffet, you will return to the same restaurant and taste some typical dishes based on local products.

  • Additional costs.
    You should bring cash in case you wish to buy handicrafts or souvenirs, you will also need some cash for the use of toilets, buying water bottles, renting horses, etc.
  • Contingencies.
    Bad weather, landslides, strikes or any other event that may delay or suspend the tour, unfortunately the itinerary can't be modified for these reasons, so we will leave anyway, the service doesn't include date changes or last minute cancellations.

    Costs for damages to the ATVs aren't included and must be paid by the tourist in case any damage happens.

  • Engagement of care.
    It is necessary for this tour to sign a letter of engagement, where the tourist is responsible for the ATV in case of damage or bad use of it.
  • Acclimatize in Cusco.
    For the tour to the 7 Colors Mountain, we recommend to be in Cusco at least 2 or 3 days before starting this hike, to get used to the weather and the altitude.
    If you have more time to enjoy in Cusco, consider visiting the 7 Colors Mountain in your last days in Cusco, some options to acclimatize are to do the City tour in Cusco, or visit the Sacred Valley.
  • Adults.
    It isn't recommended for older adults or people with signs of altitude sickness, respiratory problems, heart problems or any type of medical condition that prevents them from physical effort, neither for small children.
  • Cancellations.
    The excursion isn't cancelled for bad weather or social events, such as strikes or mobilizations, so you will have to take the measures, that we will previously recommend according to the rainy season or dry season, or the situation that requires it.
  • Customer pick up.
    The pick up is at the door of your hotel, as long as you are staying in the historic center of the city of Cusco, we recommend booking a hotel in the historic center with good location, preferably choose a place to stay with easy access, if your accommodation is outside the historic center, will be sent a cab for an additional cost to pick you up and take you to the meeting point and you can board the bus and join the group.
  • Group tours.
    Our trips are always made up of groups, that include different people from different places and everyone will have their own time, the guide will be responsible for managing the group, we manage groups of a maximum of 15 people.
  • Lost Objects.
