South east of the city of Cusco and just a few hours’ drive away is this famous landform, the 7 Colours Mountain, also called Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca, located near the snow-capped peaks of Ausangate, in the middle of an amazing natural landscape very special.

DAY 01

Cusco - Cusipata - 7 Colors Mountain

  • The tour starts very early, between 4:00 and 4:30 am, we pick you up with our mobility at the door of your hotel, then we will make a trip of almost 3 hours to the community of Cusipata, where we will make a stop to recharge energy tasting a typical breakfast buffet of the region, vegetarian options can be provided or which must be requested in advance.

  • Finally, after enjoying some dishes of the region, we will return to the city of Cusco, we will arrive around 4:00 pm and we will leave you in the Regocijo square one block from the main square in the historic centre, so you can return to your hotel.

  • Acclimatize in Cusco.
    For the trip to the 7 Colors Mountain, we recommend to be in Cusco at least 2 or 3 days before starting this trek to get accustomed to the climate and the altitude.
    If you have more time to enjoy in Cusco, consider visiting the 7 Colors Mountain in your last days in Cusco, some options to enjoy and acclimatize are to do the city tour in Cusco, or visit the Sacred Valley.
  • Adults.
    It isn’t recommended for older adults or people with signs of altitude sickness, respiratory problems, heart problems or any type of medical condition that prevents them from physical effort, neither for small children.
  • Cancellations.
    The excursion isn't cancelled for bad weather or social events such as strikes or mobilizations, so you will have to take the measures that, we will previously recommend according to the rainy season or dry season or the situation that merits.
  • Pick up of the clients.
    The pick up is at the door of your hotel as you are staying in the historic center of the city of Cusco, we recommend booking a hotel in the historic center with good location, preferably choose a place to stay with easy access, if your accommodation is outside the historic center, will be sent a cab for an additional cost to pick you up and take you to the meeting point and you can board the bus and join the group.
  • Group tours.
