Description

This excursion will take you to the south east of the city of Cusco, you will visit pre-Inca and Inca archaeological sites, as well as old colonial temples, one of them is the Church of San Pedro of Andahuylillas, the famous “Sistine Chapel of America”.

Itinerary

To start this tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in the morning, we will join the group and board the bus, after 30 minutes of travel the first point of visit awaits us, the archaeological site of Tipón, hydraulic engineering in its maximum expression is reflected in this beautiful Inca establishment.
Only 20 minutes later we will be in the Wari city of Pikillaqta, the Wari were a contemporary civilization at the beginning of the Incas and later annexed to the empire, they gave important contributions to the Inca development, among them ancient customs such as "reciprocity", the organization of cities and weapons of war, you will be fascinated by discovering their history.
We will stop on our excursion to taste a typical lunch of the region, and then we will arrive at the town of Andahuaylillas that houses the Temple of San Pedro, known worldwide as the Sistine Chapel of America.
Our last point of visit is the Archaeological Site of Raqchi, it is a mud city with stone foundations, something typical in Inca architecture, and it is believed that it was a great textile center of antiquity built in honor of the God Wiracocha, the creator of the universe.
We will start the return to Cusco where we will be around 6:00 p.m. to end the tour.
