Description

This is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world according to the New York Times, a mix between nature, gastronomy, history and archeology. For more than 500 years it has been one of the most important agricultural areas in the region and its historical places are very famous for national and foreign tourists, the perfect place prior to your trip to Machu Picchu.

Itinerary

  • We will start in the city of Cusco in the morning. The first place we will visit is the town and archaeological site of Pisac, an ancient Inca city surrounded by imposing mountains with beautiful landscapes, the modern city of Pisac is home to some of the best artisans, and they have a world famous artisan market where you will have time to buy something you like. Then we will go to the city of Urubamba where we will have lunch, tasting typical dishes of the region.
  • The next point to visit is the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, famous for being the last Inca city still populated and preserving its culture and traditions which are ancient.
  • We will start the return to Cusco, but on the way we will make a stop at the archaeological center of Chinchero known for having one of the most beautiful agricultural landscapes in the Sacred Valley and a very beautiful handycraft market. We will end the tour around 6:00 p.m. in the city of Cusco.
