DAY 01

Cusco - Pisac - Urubamba - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

  • We will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Cusco, the departure at 7:30 am approximately and we will go to the first archaeological center of the Sacred Valley, Pisac.
  • Pisac is an ancient Inca site surrounded by imposing mountains and landscapes, our first point will be the archaeological center of Pisac, where we will have a guided tour and a tour of all the buildings, in the same way we will have time to visit the modern city of Pisac, that houses some of the best craftsmen of Cusco, in a beautiful handicraft market that is world famous.
  • At the end we will continue to the village of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch with local dishes, in one of the best restaurants in the area.
  • The next point to visit is the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, the last Inca citadel still populated and full of culture and ancestral traditions, we will stay here to go to the train station and board the train that leaves at 4:06 pm, to the village of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
  • At 6:09 pm, you will be in the village of Aguas Calientes, then you must go to your hotel to check in, between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm your Machu Picchu guide will come to give you some additional indications for the tour the next day, then you can go out for dinner and visit the village.
DAY 02

Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

  • Breakfast at the hotel, according to the coordination with the guide, we will go to the bus station to take the Consettur bus and travel for 30 minutes to the entrance of the archaeological site.
  • At the entrance you must show the entrance tickets, with your identity documents to finally start the excursion that lasts approximately 2 hours, where together with your guide you will visit places like Qolqas, the system of platforms, ceremonial enclosures, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Rock and others, at the end you must take the bus again to return to Aguas Calientes.
  • In Aguas Calientes you will have time to have lunch in the place of your choice.
  • At 2:00 pm you must go to the train station and board your train, after 2 hours in Ollantaytambo you can make the transfer to the bus for the last trip to the city of Cusco.
  • You will arrive to Cusco city around 6:20 pm approximately depending on the traffic, and there is the end of our exciting tour and our services.

  • Pick up from your hotel.
    The tour starts at the door of your hotel according to the established schedules.
  • Access to the archaeological centers.
    Entrance ticket to the archaeological sites of Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
  • Tourist bus for the tour of the Sacred Valley.
    All bus transportation is included, the driver will provide the service, in the Sacred Valley and will make the respective stops at each archaeological site, as the restaurant for lunch.
  • Standard train tickets Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes.
    With the train tickets we can board the train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu, and return from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, according to availability and schedule, can be changed by panoramic train with an additional cost, just ask for it at the time of quoting the tour.
  • Meals.

DAY 2

  • Consettur bus ticket.
    This bus will take us from the town of Aguas Calientes to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu, an ascent through a zigzagging road, that takes you in 25 min to the gate of the archaeological site, after having climbed 500 meters.
  • Meals.
    Breakfast at the hotel, we will give you recommendations for lunch.
  • Access to the citadel with the classic circuit ticket.
    Entrance ticket to Machu Picchu for the 2-A or 2-B circuit subject to availability, it is the classic route in Machu Picchu and the most requested, to access without problems it must be booked three months in advance.

Weather in Machu Picchu.
The climate of Machu Picchu is quite variable and changing typical of the jungle, generally temperate and wet, there are 2 relatively marked seasons, the rainy season between October and March, being January and February the rainiest and most cloudy, and the dry season between April and September which is when there is less chance of rain or cloudiness being the clearest and driest months June and July, for this reason are the months with the most tourists and higher costs of services (high season).

Personal information.
To make your reservation we require personal data of all visitors, such as full names, dates of birth, nationality, ID number, etc. This data is secure and protected by Peruvian law and is completely necessary, and privacy policies are strictly enforced.

Acclimatization period.
Cusco is at 3300 meters above sea level and Machu Picchu at 2700, you should take it easy and acclimatize appropriately, by drinking liquids and eating lightly at least the first few days of your stay in these areas.

Adults and children.
Adults and children can take this tour without any inconvenience, on the other hand, this tour is not recommended for people with mobility problems or in wheelchairs.

Contingencies.
The tour is not cancelled for unforeseen weather or social events such as strikes or mobilizations, the necessary measures will be taken as the situation requires.

Pick up of clients.
The pick up is at the door of your hotel in the city of Cusco, we recommend you to book a hotel in the historic centre so you can do your tourist activities more easily.

Lost objects.
We recommend you to always be very careful with your belongings and luggage both in the citadel of Machu Picchu or in the transport, in case you have forgotten any object on the way we will keep it in our warehouse, as it has been reported.

Cancellations and refunds.
By rule of the Peruvian government the entrance tickets to Machu Picchu can’t be cancelled or modified, in the case you wish to cancel the tour completely can only be refunded the money used for the purchase of train or bus tickets applying a penalty of 15%, the money used in tickets to Machu Picchu can’t be refunded.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas includes different locations such as Pisac, Taray, Calca, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero, the first is located 40 km west of the city of Cusco.

The citadel of Machu Picchu is located at 2430 m.a.s.l. to the northwest of Cusco.

This tour can be done all year, it is always open to the public, but the season from April to November, which is the dry season, is the most recommended.

The climate in the Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu is warm and temperate, the temperature ranges from 20°C (68°F) to 25°C (77°F) at daytime and at night it can drop according to the area down to 4°C (39°F) approximately, with fluvial rainfall between November and April.

It is recommended to book this tour well in advance because the tickets to Machu Picchu are limited, we recommend 3 months in advance.

No, because you can't cancel the purchase of tickets to Machu Picchu, since in 2018 the Peruvian government through the Ministry of Culture issued the Ministerial Decree N°216-2018 regulating the tourist use of Machu Picchu, according to this rule you can't modify or cancel the entrance tickets to Machu Picchu can only correct data such as date of birth and document number.

For this tour we recommend you to bring light luggage, a backpack with your important belongings, considering that a maximum of 8 kg is allowed on the train.
